Surgiva proudly celebrates 50 years of history<\/strong>, during which it has brought the purity of the glaciers of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park<\/strong> to the tables of the best restaurants, bars, and hotels around the world. A significant milestone marked by excellence and a constant commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n

It was in 1975 when Surgiva began its journey in Carisolo, in Trentino, with a small production. A journey that had a key moment in 1988, with the acquisition by Gruppo Lunelli<\/strong>, one of the most important players in the high-end beverage sector in Italy. The Gruppo immediately pursued a clear strategy: at a time when the use of plastic was becoming widespread, Surgiva flowed upstream, choosing, as the first Italian water brand, to present itself in a personalized white glass bottle with a distinctive design and a screw cap. Since then, Surgiva has built a successful entrepreneurial story based on solid values: a strong connection with the territory, attention to sustainability, and a constant search for excellence\u2014principles that distinguish every Gruppo Lunelli\u2019s company.<\/p>\n

For Surgiva, quality means purity and lightness: it is indeed a minimally mineralized water, with an extremely low fixed residue that ensures a neutral taste, making it ideal to accompany dishes from great chefs and the finest wines. That\u2019s why it was chosen by the Italian Sommelier Association<\/strong> (AIS<\/strong>) as its official water. Available exclusively in white glass, it stands out for the elegant design of the bottle and label, made unmistakable by the characteristic “scratch.” It is distributed solely in the circuits of the finest restaurants and hotels, in Italy and around the world.<\/p>\n

Surgiva springs in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, an ecosystem that guarantees its purity and that it is committed to preserving. An analysis commissioned by the company to evaluate the water stress of the Val di Nambrone\u2019s basin, where the source is located, highlighted the absence of water stress through the calculation of the WEI (Water Exploitation Index).<\/p>\n

Surgiva has always supported numerous initiatives of the Park and, since 2023, it has been collaborating with the SAT<\/strong> (Societ\u00e0 Alpinisti Tridentini<\/strong>) and its Glaciological Commission in the implementation of a satellite monitoring system for Trentino\u2019s glaciers. A project that helps raise awareness about the consequences of global warming, a central theme in 2025, the International Year of Glaciers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Surgiva recycles 98% of the waste produced and uses energy exclusively from renewable sources<\/strong>, a choice that led the company to obtain, in 2024, the Carbon Neutrality Scope 1, 2, and partially 3 certification, according to the Climate Partner<\/strong> standard, thanks to a systematic approach to reducing and offsetting its carbon footprint.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Surgiva produced nearly 40 million bottles and has undertaken a significant growth in international markets in the last years, with a 40% increase in 2024 alone. It now can be found in 40 countries, with a particularly positive trend in the Arabian Peninsula.<\/p>\n
